FiveM ConVars Reference

This reference guide covers essential FiveM server console variables (ConVars) for server configuration and administration. These ConVars control various aspects of server behavior, security, and client connections.

Loading and Display ConVars

ConVar	Description
`sv_showBusySpinnerOnLoadingScreen`	Hides loading spinner on the loading screen

Security ConVars

Entity Protection

ConVar	Description
`sv_protectServerEntities`	Blocks clients from deleting entities created by the server

HTTP Request Protection

ConVar	Values	Description
`sv_requestParanoia`	0-3	Counters proxy-based HTTP floods

sv_requestParanoia Levels:

0: Off (default behavior)
1: Blocks IPs sending requests with 'Via' header
2: Blocks IPs sending requests with 'Upgrade-Insecure-Requests' header
3: Closes sockets for blocked requests

Recommendation: Set to level 3 to prevent DDoS floods

Pure Mode

ConVar	Level	Description
`sv_pureLevel`	1	Blocks modified client files except audio and graphics mods
`sv_pureLevel`	2	Blocks all modified client files

Network Configuration ConVars

Server Listing

set sv_listingHostOverride https://play.fivemrpserver.com

Replaces backend endpoints with custom URL.

sv_forceIndirectListing true

Forces indirect server listing in browser, hiding IP address from players and improving security against direct attacks.

sv_listingIpOverride "1.2.3.4"

Specifies IP address for server browser listing. Useful for servers with multiple IPs or behind NAT firewalls.

Connection Endpoints

sv_endpoints "1.2.3.4:30120"

Sets the connection endpoint address for clients. Use when server has different external/internal IP addresses.

sv_endpointurl

Specifies custom URL for server endpoint instead of IP address.

Connection Timeouts

ConVar	Default	Description
`sv_httpHandlerConnectionTimeoutSeconds`	5 minutes	HTTP request handler connection timeout
`sv_tcpConnectionTimeoutSeconds`	5 seconds	General connection timeout

Player Management

set sv_kick_players_cnl 0

Fixes "Connection CNL timed out" error on FiveM servers.

sv_exposePlayerIdentifiersInHttpEndpoint

Retains player identifiers in players.json endpoint for backward compatibility.

txAdmin ConVars

Settings Page Configuration

These ConVars are configured through the txAdmin settings page and should not be set manually.

`txAdmin-menuAlignRight`	false	Aligns menu to right side of screen
`txAdmin-menuPageKey`	Tab	Key for changing menu pages (browser key code)

`txAdmin-hideDefaultDirectMessage`	false	Suppresses default direct messages
`txAdmin-hideDefaultWarning`	false	Suppresses default warnings

Manual Configuration ConVars

These ConVars must be set manually in server configuration.

Debug and Development

+setr txAdmin-debugMode true

Toggles debug printing on server and client.

Player Interface

+setr txAdmin-menuPlayerIdDistance 100

Sets distance for Player ID visibility (default: 150, max effective: ~300m).

Effects and Notifications

+setr txAdmin-menuDrunkDuration 120

Duration in seconds for drunk effect troll action (default: 30).

+set txAdmin-menuPtfxDisable true

Disables particle effects when admin player mode changes.

+set txAdmin-menuAnnounceNotiPos top-right

Sets announcement notification position. Valid positions: top-center, top-left, top-right, bottom-center, bottom-left, bottom-right.
